Cruise Letter: December’s Rockin Lineup

This is the time of year we’ve all been waiting for, Yes tis the silly season, its arrived! and we can all let our hair down a little more than a few months ago taking to the dance floor to flaunt those new shapes you learnt to cut during your time off. Taking that into consideration we have a fully locked and loaded schedule of fun this December and would love to see you all you music freaks and party lovers there!

 

21/12/20 Local Art Show 

Monday kicks off the events in style with locals Anja Meixner & Facundo Vargas showcasing their talented photography and photo artworks from 7 pm in the Stoke Beach House courtyard. There will live chilled minimal dj sets to accompany you on your journey through Anja’s & Facu’s works.

 

22/12/20 Surf Film Night

Our weekly surf film night will have you chomping at the bit to surf some slabby waves after we feature the northern beaches local –  Laura Enever’s film Undone.  UNDONE is a momentous story of personal endeavour. After leaving a  comfortable place on the WSL Championship Tour to become a Big wave charger and slab junkie.

 

23/12/20 Bruno & Friends VOL 3

For the past 3 weeks, we’ve had local Brazilan Bruno Bah & a bunch of talented friends drop by the Stoke Beach House and serenade us in music splendour. This night will be the final show of 2020 and should be one not to miss.

 

24/12/20 Chrismas Eve Pot Luck Sponsored by Elephant In The Room

Twas the night before Christmas where all through the house, not a creature was sober, not even the mouse! Or in our case our resident possum. We are delighted to invite you to our Xmas eve party in collaboration with Elephant in the Room Wine. Some of the finest wines in all the lands! The evening will be an international affair with guests from all different nations cooking up a dish to celebrate a Summer Christmas in Manly.

 

25/12/20  Christmas Day Boozy Brekky & Bad Santa

Wake up to the sounds of waves and take a dip before ripping into a classic Aussie Breakfast and a bubbly cold beverage. We will also be putting on a very bad Santa. For those of you that don’t know what it is…. The person who has number one gets to pick from the pile and opens a present. The next person chooses a present to open and can either choose to keep their gift or switch with the first person and so forth. It’s bound to be cheeky and full of tears, we can’t wait! Do not fear if your present was stolen we can drown away our sorrows at our Chrissy day beach picnic and bbq!

 

26/12/20 Boxing Day The Bifters live (blues and rock band)

Keep the good times rolling with the Bifters. Our loose friends who know a thing or two about rocking a crowd. Gus and the crew will be gracing our courtyard to celebrate the release of their new single ¨SUGA MUMMA¨.

 

28/12/20 Boxing Day Public Holiday with DJ Flexy Ferg and friends

Flexy is back with all his friends for another instalment of party tunes for all you house, techno and disco freaks out there. We are kicking this one off early at 3 pm and lingering all the way through till 11:30 pm. There is a whole line up of local Sydney acts set to take the stage. The old Kings X Candy residents Evsie & Adsy will be bringing that old school flavour to Manly.  Dj Vern and Tamara will be melting the dancefloor with big sound techno and minimal house. And we can’t forget Flexy Ferg, after selling out 4 shows in 2 weeks he will be headlining the show and doing what Flexy does best with his debaucherous disco, horny house and toey techno. So bring your dancing shoes, your dogs, nans or whatever you need to keep the boogie alive. 

 

30/12/20  The Annual Stoke Olympics

You´ve had a day to recover, which of course, is all a professional athlete really needs to be back at peak performance. Just ask Lebron James. LBJ probably wouldn´t be trying to surf the longest wave, boat race skulling, skateboard racing or any of the other whacky and funniest competitive games we have install on a hangover… but we will be, and you should be too!

 

31/12/20 NYE pre-party 

There’s many a thing going on on nye. The options are endless… for predrinks, however, there is the only place you need to be. Nestled in our prime corner of manly getting oh so lubricated up for a new year of madness. Join us for the fireworks as we create our own sparks on the courtyard kissing goodbye to the wig out that has been 2020. Adios
