What COVID-19 Means For You?
We take the health and safety of all of our guests and staff very seriously, and given the rapid changes to the travelling landscape, we remain on high alert to proactively manage the situation as it evolves. We are travellers ourselves and know how it feels to be a long way from home. We, therefore, feel a sincere sense of responsibility to ensure that everyone has a place that they belong, feel safe and are surrounded by a friendly community.

What makes you so darn special?
We don’t mean to toot our own horn but toot-toot! Stoke Beach House isn’t like the rest; our newly renovated 5-star hostel is the full experience. There is not an inch of The Beach House that hasn’t been left unturned.
Our new dorm rooms are equipped with lush pods and lockup storage. Close the curtain on your pod, and you’re in your private little sanctuary with king pillows, luxurious sheets and comfy mattresses. The bathrooms have awesome showers, private cubicles and are stocked with body wash. The ladies bathroom even has a hairdryer!
Laundry facilities are provided with washing machines, dryers and a washing line to keep you looking fresh. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need – gas stove stops, coolroom to store your food, Breville coffee machine to keep the caffeine comedowns at bay, microwaves, utensils, cutlery and plates.
Stoke Beach House hosts 1-hour morning yoga class, full, healthy breakfasts, surfboards, bikes, snorkels, surf lessons, dive lessons and housemate activities. What more could you need?!?
What happens if I need to check-in after hours?
Not a problem! Our epic Night Manager will be on hand to help get you settled. Send us a message with your expected arrived ETA and we’ll sort the rest out.
Can I get late check-out?
Late check-out is subject to availability and may result in an additional fee of 100%. To make arrangements for late check-out. Send us a message ahead of time using the information on the booking confirmation or visit reception during open hours.
How do I find the place?
When you hop off the ferry, walk straight along Belgrave Street about 400 metres until it intersects with Raglan Street. You’ll see a big, white and blue building in front of you. That’s us!

By Ferry from CBD
The Beach House is a 5-minute walk from the Manly ferry terminal. Regular and highly enjoyable boat rides depart from Circular Quay, Sydney. The trip takes 15-30 minutes depending on the boat you take. The harbour views are incredible. Cruise right past the Sydney Opera House!

Do you have parking available?
We unfortunately don’t have on-site parking at Stoke, there are a few public parking centres nearby or you could try your luck with street parking but it is limited.
I’m feeling like a baller, are there private rooms available?
Yes, you’re in luck. I know we don’t seem it, but we are a baller at heart too. We have private rooms with king beds and also twin and trio share beds if you like your friends but don’t want to touch bums with them accidentally in the night.
I want to chill, is The Beach House a party vibe?
We’re only human at The Beach House, which means that we enjoy a beer or two after a hard days diving, but we also love a good Netflix and chill as well. We try to make sure there is a healthy balance, and there’s certainly no pressure to hit the town if your feeling more like hitting the pillow.
What do I need to bring with me?
We’ll ask you for a credit card to hold funds of $70 AUD. You will not be charged unless you have caused any damage to the room or property. You also need to bring a valid photo ID upon check-in.
All roommates are provided with fresh linen upon arrival. Towels can be hired from reception for just AUD $5. You can keep the towel for the duration of your stay and hand it back during our final farewell hugs and kisses.
What if I have to cancel my booking?
Apart from the fact, we’ll be uber sad for all the memories lost of shaking a tail feather on a table or two you are welcome to cancel any reservation provided it is 48 hours (two days) before your check-in date. Any cancellations within the 48 hours (two days) period is none refundable.
Peak Season: We have a 100% no-cancellation policy for all bookings across the peak season. Peak Season falls between December 27th – January 3rd every year. All reservations for the peak season must be fully prepaid and are none refundable. Bookings are none transferable.
Early Booking Special Rate: All early booking special rates are none refundable. All reservations for the early booking special rates must be fully prepaid and are none refundable.

What the heck is going on at the house?
There’s always something happening at The Beach House. Yoga is held either at the beach or in the yoga studio with one of our yoga alliance certified instructors most mornings. Do you have bicycles and skateboards?
We have sick beach cruisers bicycles and skateboards available! The first 2 hours are on the house and after that, you’ll have to pay $10 an hour or $25 for the day to feel the wind in your hair.
Do you have surfboards?
We have frothy surfboards available for you to shred the green room. Get those shaka vibes going and hire a surfboard or bodyboard at reception for just $10 for 4 hours or $20 for the entire day. We have a range of boards to suit every shred dog, newbie to pro.
Can I pee in the ocean?
No. Sydney has a strict no-urine-in-ocean policy. We encourage all guests to bring reusable bags or airtight containers to deposit urine. Urine disrupts the PH levels of the water and lowers the visibility for divers and marine life. Great White Sharks are attracted to the excretions of humans, so for you own safety and the safety of others please ‘bag it and bin it’.
What happens if I lose my key card?
Stoke Beach House is a safe and secure building; all rooms and access to the property are made through security key cards. Any lost key cards will result in a wee little AUD $5 being taken from your AUD $30 key card security deposit. If you are locked out of your room after reception hours, there is a Night Manager fee of AUD $10 to issue a new key card or find yourself, salty sexy roommate, to snuggle with until reception opens.
What happens if I set off the fire alarm?
You’ll be getting a visit from a truckload of our finest Manly firefighters. You’ll also be charged with the hefty fine of AUD $2,200, making it one expensive perv sesh.
What if I damage an item at The Beach House?
We’d rather you not! We’ve put in a lot of blood, sweat, tears and a few other bodily fluids to renovate our epic new Beach House. If you damage any part of the Stoke Beach House property or items provided to you by Stoke Beach House, you will be charged the full costs incurred to fix the damage caused. We’d rather focus our attention on giving you out of this world events and activities to sink your teeth into then cleaning up our mess. Keep your bed and dorm clean, as well as any communal areas including the kitchen, courtyard and bathrooms. There’s no mummies here to pick up after you! Cleaning fees will be charged for those who leave mess behind. If you are liable to any damages caused to your bedding, you may be charged adequate cleaning fees.
What happens if I’m asked to leave?
We’d love you to stay, get your froth on and Stoke your curiosity but if for some silly reason you can’t respect your housemates and the Stoke Beach House property we may have to ask you to pack your bags. Any member of Stoke Beach House may ask you to leave the property at any time for any reason however in particular for any of these reasons: illegal drugs; fighting; property damage; smoking inside of the room; breaking into the kitchen, courtyard or other people’s rooms. You will not receive any refund from your booking payment or key deposit.
Can I bring my beloved pet?
While we love animals and kelpie cuddles, in particular, pet slumber parties are not allowed.
Can I bring along my favourite child?
All guests must be over the age of 18 years, a hold a valid photo ID document will be requested upon check-in (such as a valid driver’s license, proof of age card or passport). Cots (infant beds), rollaway and extra beds are not available.
Can I smoke at The Beach House?
Stoke Beach House is a smoke-free property. Smoking is not allowed at any time inside the property.
